Middleware operations engineering for broadcast infrastructure.
MOE Systems maintains set-top box middleware deployments for regional broadcast operators across North America. Firmware lifecycle, portal operations, and tier-2 engineering support delivered by a team with hands-on platform experience.
What we operate
Firmware lifecycle management
Signed image builds for MAG platform devices, staged rollout controls, per-model release channels, and rollback support. Operator key management and cryptographic signing pipelines maintained in-house.
Portal maintenance
Continuous operations for Ministra middleware deployments — configuration management, database health, session integrity monitoring, and coordination with upstream auth backends and NTP infrastructure.
OTA distribution
Symlink-based image distribution to fielded devices with staged rollout, canary validation, and fallback portal configuration built into every firmware image. Remote reflash without physical device access.
Tier-2 operational support
Bilingual English/Russian engineering support for portal outages, device provisioning issues, and auth backend failures. On-call incident response 24 hours per day, with runbooks maintained for common operational scenarios.
A small ops team for broadcast operators.
MOE Systems works with regional broadcast operators serving multi-language communities in the United States and Canada. We maintain device fleets across the MAG platform family — models 322, 420, 520, 522v2, and 540 — coordinating firmware releases, portal deployments, and infrastructure migrations without disrupting active sessions.
We are a small team by design. Every operation we perform on a client fleet is executed by an engineer with direct experience of the platform, not routed through a ticketing pipeline. This is deliberate: middleware operations at this scale are not amenable to first-line support, and mistakes propagate to tens of thousands of devices in minutes.
Common questions
Which set-top box models do you support?
Infomir MAG platform — currently models 322, 420, 520, 522v2, and 540 in active rotation. Legacy models 250 and 254 supported on an as-needed basis; new deployments discouraged on those platforms due to browser engine end-of-life.
What middleware platform versions do you work with?
Ministra 5.6.10 in production deployments, with familiarity across the 5.x release line. We are not affiliated with Infomir; support is delivered on an operational basis to independent operators.
Do you build custom firmware or only distribute vendor releases?
Both. Vendor releases are distributed as-shipped where they meet operator requirements. For deployments requiring operator-specific portal URLs, NTP configuration, or fallback behavior, we build signed operator images using vendor-authorized signing pipelines.
What is your response time for operational incidents?
Portal outages and auth backend failures are acknowledged within 15 minutes and worked continuously through resolution. Non-critical issues follow a standard 24-hour response window.
Do you provide portal migration services between server infrastructures?
Yes. We have executed live portal migrations for fleets in the low thousands of devices with staged DNS cutover and rollback controls. Migration playbooks include pre-flight validation and traffic drain procedures.
